Sail Your Soul
you're one set in stone, picking the bones of some forgotten song
sure know pain, I watch you fall, then start it up again
don't throw your light away.........
sail your soul keep your faith, you'll find something in the end
sail your soul find your wings, slipped away.
you want to wash your skin, say it aloud, 'where do we begin?'
god you're proud, take it home and throw it around and round
don't throw your light away.........
sail your soul keep your faith, you'll find something in the end
sail your soul find your wings, slipped away.
........ d'you really know?, really know, really know....
sail your soul keep your faith, you'll find something in the end
sail your soul find your wings, slipped away.
I love this track. It's quite shimmering, I think. Dedicated to all my
experiences around the world as a young man, getting to grips with
getting older, wiser, etc., trying to come to terms with oneself through
drugs, travel, love, religion, madness. When I hear it, I think of all
those crazy Carlos Castaneda books (Who??? C.i.B.). Well, the first four
anyway, they were excellent. I see myself on the plateau of a tall
mountain in a sandy sun-baked Mexican desert! It's like, a song about
all my songs, you could say.
