Dedicated to all the those who lost their lives, families,
friends and hope during the awful events of Katrina in 2005
when the government of the USA decided that the people of New
Orleans didn’t matter...... sadly even Ms Rice with her obvious
ancestry never seemed to care too much. I, along with many others,
truly hope the heart isn’t ripped out of New Orleans. The line
‘the music’s dying in this old town’ represents the people,
the spirit, the culture and of course the wonderful music that
was created [jazz, rock and roll rhythm and blues stem from
here] by the legends of that place.....Louis Armstrong, Louis
Prima, Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Domino and Buddy Bolden to name
a few. The staggering musicianship and players/performers that
came/come from here moved me from an early age.

Originally written about a dominatrix I knew, but then
changed around for dedication to the Jim Jones School Of God
- written before David Koresh hit the scene (Waco), but performed
in the USA with The Stranglers around that time coincidentally.
It didn't really work with the band, but there are a few versions
which I recorded, and in it's current guise appears cut up as
"Chasing Rainbows" on the "Faith?" CD.

I saw the Feelgoods at the Odeon in November 1975 and it was
mental...amazing energy.....possibly the only direct link between
R n B and Punk in my opinion.
